Last Night at Home 🇿🇦✈️
Tonight marks my last evening at home for quite some time. Tomorrow, I depart for Abu Dhabi to begin a new chapter—teaching Chemistry at one of the Emirati National Schools.
This space will be my way of sharing the journey—so whether you’re family, a friend, or just curious, you’re welcome to follow along as I settle into life and learning in the UAE.
So, where exactly am I going?
I’ll be based in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It’s a vibrant, modern city nestled along the Arabian Gulf, rich in culture, history, and yes—quite a bit warmer than Cape Town!
With a hefty stash of biltong and droëwors successfully packed, documents checked (twice), and passport in hand, I think I’m as ready as I’ll ever be to take off from Cape Town International tomorrow.
No touristy pics just yet—just a map to show where I’m headed. ✈️🗺️
Stay tuned—next update from the desert!
