I am a passionate teacher of physical sciences and life sciences, and this will always remain my most treasured role in education. I have made it my mission to share my teaching and love for science as widely as possible. I have been privileged to engage with learners across the country through special outreach programmes supported by prominent organisations within the South African context.

Another Saturday and a dedicated group of grade 11 learners at a rural school in the Free State. All are happy just to get some extra tuition where teacher shortages persist. Part of the programme included mentoring new teachers in the subject.

Various organizations often sponsor school improvement programmes. Particularly for grade 12 learners and their educators.
At one point this was a frequent occurrence throughout the year. I had a panel van which served as my mobile lab (and sometimes overnight venue)
Lab build and then use.
The space below was converted to a lab. Once the school where I was at the time had discontinued “Home Economics” as a subject, I approached the board and asked if we could create a general lab. This allows anyone to book and use the space to do practical work that would not normally be possible.
